ELCO Chosen for PAsmart Targeted K12 Computer Science and STEM Education Grant

The ELCO School District has been selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for a PAsmart Targeted K12 Computer Science and STEM Education grant in the amount of $35,000.

These grants represent the next phase of Governor Wolf’s PAsmart initiative – an innovative approach to expanding access to high-quality computer science and STEM education across the commonwealth.  The list of schools receiving PAsmart Targeted Grants is available on the PDE website.

Over the next decade, seven in ten new jobs in Pennsylvania will require computer science skills. The programs funded through PAsmart will help our students graduate prepared for success in our global economy.
