Supporting Military Connected Families

The ELCO School District is dedicated to supporting military-connected children's unique educational and social-emotional needs. Our primary goal is to provide district staff with the tools and knowledge to help these students navigate the challenges of moving between schools with differing cultures, curricula, standards, course offerings, schedules, and graduation requirements.

The ELCO School District is proud to have a dedicated Military Liaison to support our military-connected families in the following ways:

  • Identifying all military-connected students enrolled in the ELCO School District.
  • Facilitating communication and support for these families.
  • Supporting enrollment procedures to accommodate the unpredictable nature of military relocations.
  • Developing and supporting transition programs to help new students acclimate to the school environment.
  • Assisting with credit transfer and course alignment to ensure students can continue their education without interruption.
  • Determining the appropriate school services available to military-connected students.
  • Coordinating school programs relevant to military-connected students.
