Gifted FAQs
The District has 60 calendar days (not including summer break) to complete the evaluation.
Yes, parents are able to request a full evaluation once per calendar year.
Students who are dually diagnosed have their gifted needs and strengths addressed as part of the Individualized Education Program (IEP). Therefore they will not have a GIEP as well.
The District does not provide gifted services to students who attend private schools.
If your child is identified as a gifted learner and you have questions about their gifted program, you should contact their GIEP case manager.
