Learning and Developmental Disabilities
PA Developmental Disabilities Council - a group made up of people with disabilities, family members, advocates, and state department representatives who work to create favorable conditions for people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Commonwealth. Created under a federal act and Governor's Executive Order, the Council is both a planning group and a funding body.
United Disability Services (UDS) - is an unique not-for-profit organization headquartered in Lancaster which provides in-home personal care, independent living support, and personal development and enrichment services for individuals with disabilities and the elderly that enable them to take control of their lives; living in the comfort of their own homes.
Learning Disabilities of PA - a statewide, nonprofit organization, dedicated to serving Pennsylvania residents by providing accurate, up-to-date information regarding learning disabilities as well as support. LDAPA is a state affiliate of Learning Disabilities Association of America.
