Hello!  I'm Michael Gerhart and it is my honor to be your student's principal at ELCO Intermediate School.  On behalf of the ELCO Intermediate staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school as we begin the 2016-2017 school year.  While this is my first year at ELCO Intermediate School, I have been a part of the ELCO family for the past seven years as a principal at ELCO Middle School and have been in public education for sixteen years. 

The Intermediate staff is dedicated to doing all we can to make this school year a postive experience for every student.  We firmly believe that a home & school partnership is essential for the success of all our students. Learning is not an easy process and it involves the sharing of ideas, learning from our mistakes , and attempting new experiences. Learning involves hard work by everyone involved, including the teacher, the parent, the principal, but most importantly the student.
