Mrs. Nichole McCullough

Hi! My name is Nichole McCullough and I am the A-M school counselor at the Intermediate School. The 2024-2025 school year is my seventh year working at the Intermediate School and my eighth year as a school counselor. While I now live in Dauphin County and work in Lebanon County, I originate from Carroll County, Maryland where my family moved to in 2002. After graduating from Century High School, I attended Bridgewater College in Virginia and completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. At Bridgewater College, I learned that I wanted to have a career in a helping profession and soon after narrowed my career choice down to school counseling.

Soon after graduating, I moved to Pennsylvania and began working for Wellspan Philhaven as a TSS (theraputic support staff). In this position, I worked with students who had diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Anxiety. I helped these students meet their behavioral goals in school, in the community, and at home. In my first year as a TSS, I attended McDaniel College and later attended and graduated from Millersville University with a Masters of Education in School Counseling. After some time off from schooling, I decided to go back to get my Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution from PennWest University. I am certified as a school counselor from kindergarten to the 12th grade. I enjoyed interning in the ELCO school district back in 2014 and have enjoyed seeing many students succeed.

Besides my passion in school counseling, I enjoy hanging out with my husband and two dogs Dash and Ellie, friends and family, traveling to other states and countries, and reading any type of book. With my brother being active duty Coast Guard and my father being retired Coast Guard, I have gotten the chance to visit and see a lot of what our country has to offer. Finally, I am thrilled to become part of the ELCO community and family. I look forward to working with each student and family.

Mr. Kevin Weitzel, M.Ed.

Hello! My name is Kevin Weitzel, and I am the new school counselor at ELCO Intermediate School.

This is my 6th year as a school counselor, and I am very excited to get to know all of the students at the Intermediate School and their families. I graduated from Bloomsburg University with my Bachelors of Science in General Psychology. After graduating, I worked as a Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) and in residential programs for two years, where I worked with a variety of students in multiple settings. In these settings, I helped support children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses. These include, but are not limited to, children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety, ODD, depression and bipolar disorder. I attended Millersville University where I earned a Masters of Education in School Counseling. I have been working as a school counselor ever since and I absolutely love my job. I am excited to help every student succeed and provide them with knowledge and skills that will allow them thrive for the rest of their lives.

Outside of school, I spend most of my time fishing, hiking with my wife and dog, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles or Flyers. I am extremely excited to be a part of ELCO School District and the ELCO Intermediate School.
