Introduction

You have inherited $20,000 from your Aunt Mabel. A requirement is that you must invest ALL the money in the stock market.

You will be required to research companies. After investing in at least 3, you will complete a weekly spreadsheet showing the progress of your investments.

Each student will:

• research at least three companies
• create a document explaining why you chose those companies
• identify terms given
• complete a spreadsheet of weekly performance
  • spreadsheet sample
• give a class presentation at the conclusion of the task

All students will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• 25% explanation document and spreadsheet
• 25% reasoning and logic
• 50% stock performance

Students will learn the basics of investing in the stock market. They will also develop a plan, investigate a strategy, monitor techniques, and evaluate their success.
