1. Height of structure shall be at least 5.0 cm, supporting the object
being weighed. All parts of the object should be supported at least 5.0
cm above the table
2. The structure shall use all or part of the 20 pieces of fettucini and all
or part of the 1 m of masking tape. NO ADDITIONAL TAPE OR PASTA
MAY BE USED. (If you cheat, your grade = 0)
3. The tape may not be used to do anything other than to support the
structure. The structure must be one unit that can be picked up and
placed on the testing area. Overlapping non-taped pieces of fettucini
are not allowed. No columns or "log cabin" structures are allowed.
1. Design and build a support structure according to the design
requirements.
2. Measure and record the mass of the structure. Measure and
record the masses of the objects to be tested.
