The term, Blog, originates from two words - Web and Log. Although blogging has existed since the 1990s, mainstream popularity began in 2004. That year "blog" was named word of the year by Webster Dictionary.
Blogs come in many forms - they can be used as personal journals, as a source to provide information, and as a method to collaborate. Blogs contain a variety of media including video, images, and links, but blogs are most commonly text-based.
People who read blogs have the ability to subscribe to the blogs they are reading and sometimes have the ability to leave feedback that may or may not be visible to others who are also reading the blog.
There are couple pieces of information involving ELCO blogs:
- To subscribe to the blog, click on the RSS icon located in your web browser's URL address bar
- The views expressed in individual blogs are the views of that individual.
If you have questions or comments please send an email with the subject titled ELCO's Blogs to Robert Boltz, Director of Technology.
