Peter J. Zug was elected to represent the 102nd State House District on November
3, 1992.
Peter is a 1976 graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School and received
a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University in 1980.
Prior to his election to the Pennsylvania House of Represenatives, Peter served as
administrative assistant to State senator David J. Brightbill. Peter also was elected
to Lebanon City Council and Richland Borough Council.
Peter's community activities include past chairman and board member of the Great
Northern District Boy Scouts of America, past chairman of the Lebanon Valley
Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lebanon Valley Program, Lebanon Lions Club
and Richland Church of the Brethren.
In 1992, Peter received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Eastern Lebanon
County High School and District Award of Merit from the Boy Scouts. Peter also
was recognized by the Lebanon Jaycees as the Outstanding Young Citizen and
was a Silver Beaver award Recipient for the Boy Scouts of America.
Peter is a recipient of the Guardian of Small Business Award, Citizens Against
Higher Taxes Taxpayer Hero Award and PA Statemans of the Year Award. He
served as a Legislative Fellow at Millersville University. Peter is also an Eagle
Scout and God and Country Award Recipient.
Rep. Zug serves on the House Appropriations Committee, Veterans Affairs and
Emergency Preparedness, transportation Subcommittee Chairman on Railroads,
Commerce and Economic Development Subcommittee Chairman on Housing, and
Majority Policy Committee.
In addition to his office in the State Capitol, Peter maintains an office in Myerstown
and shares an office in Elizabethville with Senator Jeff Piccola.
Peter resides in North Lebanon Township with his wife, Susan, daughter, Sarah
and son, Benjamin.
