Viola Kohl Mohn

Mrs. Mohn is a 1931 graduate of the former Myerstown High School. She is a
noted illustrator, artist and author. Mrs. Mohn is involved in numerous historic
groups including: Co-chair of the Restoration Committee for the Preservation of
the Isaac Meier House of Myerstown, member of the Lebanon County Historical
Society and Tulpehocken Settlement Society and has served as secretary for the
Historic Preservation Trust of Lebanon County.

Mrs. Mohn's art work has appeared in New York City, Pennsylvania and other
surrounding states. She represented Pennsylvania Women of the Arts in Senatorial
Show in Washington, D.C. She has illustrated nature books, one of which was
"Winter Search Party" by noted naturalist Dr. Helen Ross Russel. She is also
author and illustrator of various historical treatises in magazines and newspapers.

She is author and illustrator of three volumes "Shadows of the Rhine Along the
Tulpehocken", and editor and part author of the Myerstown Bicentennial Book of
1968. Mohn was author, illustrator, and photographer of "Rambling Around Old
Tulpehockentown", a publication of the Myerstown 1976 Bicentennial celebration.

Mrs. Mohn is a former President of the Myerstown Women's Club and a past
President of the Whitmoyer Community Library.

She has served fifty years as a scout, scout leader, camp director and counselor of
nature, arts and crafts, pioneering, drama and dancing.

Mrs. Mohn has visited Europe several dozen times where she has published and
painted materials over the years.

Mrs. Mohn resides in Myerstown with her husband Harold.
