Dr. Robert M. Kline is a member of the Heidelberg Township High School Class of 1944.
Graduating in absentia, Dr. Kline served in WW II as a member of the 88th Infantry Division.
Upon his discharge, he attended and then graduated from Lebanon Valley College holding a
degree in biology. He taught one year at Cornwall High School before enrolling in medical
school. Dr. Kline graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1955 and began his 40 year
general practice. During his career, he served as physician for the Lebanon Correctional
Facility, Lebanon Valley College and Cedar Crest High School. In 1966, he was appointed
Deputy Coroner for Lebanon County and was then elected County Coroner, which he held
from 1975 to 1996.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kline is involved with the PA German Society, Grundsow Lodsch #17,
and Heidelberg Versommling. He received a B.A. in German through his education at
Lebanon Valley College in 1972. Lebanon Valley College honored Dr. Frank with the Hot Dog
Frank Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, he was elected to the 88th Division National
Board of Directors. Dr. Robert M. Kline resides in Newmanstown and has three daughters, and
one son.
