Mr. Kline is a 1935 graduate of the former Myerstown High School. He was the
owner/operator of a grocery store in Myerstown. Mr. Kline is a veteran and former
prisoner of War during World War II. Mr. Kline was engaged in the Battle of the
Bulge and was awarded the Bronze Star. He has also served as Mayor of
Myerstown, a member of the Board of Directors of The Whitmoyer Library and a
member of the Myerstown Borough Council. He was Chairman/coordinator of
Myerstown Salvation Army activities and a charter member and former officer of
the Lion's Club for over 45 years with a perfect attendance record (the Cal Ripken
of the Lion's Club). He is presently involved in Operation Santa sponsored by the
Salvation Army and the Lebanon Daily News.
Mr. Kline's awards include: Melvin Jones Fellowship Award; J.C.'s Distinguished
Citizen Award; and the 1994 Lebanon Lions Club Good Neighbor Award.
Mr. Kline is a very active member of the Friedens Lutheran Church.
